The town of Cooke City is literally the coolest small town in North America. How do I make such a staggeringly biased statement? With cold facts.
We found signs that stated the legitimacy of the town’s coolness littered around the town, at the gas station and few local restaurants. People were driving around on four wheelers, and rock and fossil shops lined the streets.
But it wasn’t until after I ate at the Loving Cup that I was swayed to believe this was actually the coolest small town in America.
The Loving Cup Café is located at the beginning of the town, and it is probably the coolest place around Yellowstone. Granted I had been hiking 60 miles in the woods over six days, the food was amazing, and the coffee irreplaceable. Not only that, but the owners were some of the friendliest and coolest people I’ve ever met.
Definitely check out the town if you ever find yourself in Yellowstone.
